The Bluffs RV Resort

Located between the Lakes Region and White Mountains of New Hampshire, The Bluffs RV Resort offers 250 extended-stay RV sites for adults age 50-plus. Rental sites are available for as little as 1-week or for the entire season, and include WiFi, expanded cable, septic and 20/30/50 amp hook-ups. Additional amenities included are swimming pools, tennis and bocce courts, kayaks and canoes, modern clubhouse facilities with kitchen, laundry, fitness and game room - plus full access to amenities at adjacent Danforth Bay Camping & RV Resort.

  • During the planning and construction phases, the Hoyt family worked closely with the town of Freedom and was critical in stressing the need to minimize the impact created during the entire project.

  • The Bluffs offers single-stream recycling, which is the recycling process of mixing paper, plastic, cans and glass in one collection bin. Two bins are available in every trash receptacle location; one bin for recyclables and one for items not accepted by the program such as general garbage, food waste, diapers and plastic bags.

  • To build and rebuild roads and campsites, much of the material that was excavated during construction was crushed and "recycled and processed" on-site to use on the roads at The Bluffs and at Danforth. Over 50,000 yards of gravel was processed and stockpiled for future use. An old gravel pit used by the state decades ago was also reclaimed and used during construction.

  • At The Bluffs and Danforth Bay, there are a combined 5 swimming pools. They are all heated with energy efficient systems and pumps.

  • Four of the five pools are "saltwater" pools. These pools use 90% less chemicals than ordinary pools. It is also more comfortable for guests as the saline quantity is comparable to a tear drop.

  • The Bluffs and Danforth Bay spend $10,000 +/- annually in working with the community to control milfoil, an invasive weed species, as part of their maintenance program.

“Preserving the land for the future enjoyment of our children… it is just the right thing to do.”
Edward E. Hoyt
