Fall Foliage Covered Bridge Tour
October 10-12, 2008
Relax, and step back in time while enjoying the spectacular fall colors and historic covered bridges of the White Mountains of New Hampshire!
We'll tour bridges in Albany, Conway, Ossipee, Sandwich, Plymouth, Campton and Lincoln... with a trip back over the brilliantly-colored Kancamagus Highway!
In addition to our spectacular Covered Bridge tour on Saturday...
we're offering a movie Saturday night, a paddling tour on Purity Lake Sunday morning after breakfast... and a Purity Spring Lobster Bake and Steak cookout!
Here's how the weekend looks...
Friday, October 10
The weekend kicks off with check-in and dinner Friday evening (available until 8pm. Please call us if you may be late).
Saturday, October 11
After a hearty country breakfast, Purity Spring will take you (via comfy shuttle) to the most historic covered bridges in the White Mountains! We'll tour bridges in Albany, Conway, Ossipee, Sandwich, Plymouth, Campton and Lincoln... and a trip back over the brilliantly-colored Kancamagus Highway! DON'T forget your camera!
We'll provide a picnic lunch during the tour and return back to Purity Spring in time for another fantastic dinner.
Later that evening, cozy-up in King Pine’s Fireplace Room, for a large-screen viewing of “Thin Air”. A fascinating personal account, by North Conway's own Rick Wilcox, of surviving Mount Everest.
Sunday, October 12
After breakfast, enjoy a guided kayak tour on Purity Lake where you'll explore the abundant wildlife and listen as "Kayak Jack" discusses the history of the Lake.
At 1pm, we'll serve up a traditional Lobster Bake on Purity Island! From seaweed-steamed lobster and corn-on-the-cob to chicken, steaks and burgers, you’ll feast like a king (or Queen) at this old-fashioned Purity Spring tradition!
Relax in our indoor pool & hot tub or treat yourself to an hour of massage therapy in our Purity Spring House. And better yet, we're just minutes away from tax-free shopping!
An earlier covered bridge tour is also available Oct. 3-5.
