Winter Season/King Pine Testimonials
"I just wanted to write and tell you what a wonderful time my kids and I had during the Christmas/New Years break! We came on Tuesday, after Christmas and stayed through the first of the year and had a blast! My kids were so impressed with so many things to do! It was their first time night skiing and they cannot stop talking about it. My kids are 11 and 9 and they can't stop saying, "that was the best vacation ever!" The staff was very friendly and accommodating!
The tubing park just ROCKED!! We enjoyed the fact that the hill was not packed like most commercial ski areas and the staff remembers you and just doesn't see you as another number. The meals were fabulous and we ate like kings! The staff in the dining areas were very friendly and attentive. As a single Mom, I was comforted by the fact that it is such a safe environment. The whole place just makes you feel like one of the family.
We have enjoyed your resort in the summer and now in the winter! Thank you for giving us such a wonderful place to go to make beautiful memories with my kids! We will be back for sure!"

"Love XC skiing across and around lake while my kids ski all over King Pine. Loved the sleigh ride and free p.m. snow tubing for our Sunday night stay. Packing our lunch on the day we left was super nice - you have friendly people working here!"
The Natal Family
"We had a great time on our recent 2-night stay at Purity Spring Resort...
Bottom line, our priorities were: 1) fun ski experience for our family to learn to ski, 2) not a big mountain as a smaller place may offer a better deal and better suited to our skill level, 3) affordable, 4) comfortable accommodations, 5) no ski snob attitude where people are more about the nicest gear and steepest peaks, 6) include other amenities in case we all hated skiing, 7) including the meals would be a nice bonus...
Everything far exceeded our expectations and we had high expectations. We will definitely be back."
The Healy Family, Walpole, Massachusetts
"Perfect conditions, great family atmosphere. We loved the fire pit near the skating rink.
We loved the ease and pace of the Inn Dining Room. The selection and quality of the offerings were just perfect for the children and adults."
The Merriman Family
"We visited King Pine as winners of the Raising Maine Weekend Getaway - and had a BLAST! We had visited when the kids were small, but King Pine is great even for families with teens. The resort is only an hour from Portland, and is the most kid-friendly place imaginable. The food at the resort is delicious (and plentiful!), the rooms are comfortable, the indoor pool is beautiful, and the staff is uniformly friendly - it was like visiting family."

Visit from Ireland
We have just returned home, after the best week ever, and we wanted to let you know how much we appreciated the facilities and staff at King Pine.
Every single member of staff that we were in contact with throughout our 6 days skiing, were wonderful, helpful and pleasant. From Marnee and her co-workers at reception, who helped us to plan the best value for our rentals, lessons and passes, to all the staff in the rentals shop, to the friendly, helpful staff on the lifts to the magnificent instructors. We could not have asked for a better experience.
Whilst we would not want to single out one group of people, we were in most contact with the instructors. Over the course of the week, we must have been taught by most of them; Bruce & Bruce, Trish, JP, Paul, Tom, Connor, Greg, Neil, Joe.... We were impressed and grateful for the interest and determination they showed in getting the non-skiers in our group to 'master the Mountain'. On our last day, my husband, one of my daughters and myself had a final lesson with Trish. She spoke about how excited she was when she managed to get our youngest son on the chair lift earlier in the week- a massive achievement for both of them. It is that commitment that was evident from all the instructors, all week and it made all the difference. By the end of the week, the two youngest (non-skiers initially) were just about ready for a black run!
The mountain itself was perfect for us. We were always able to see each other and the variety of runs that suited our abilities, was great. The excellent grooming of the mountain also made our skiing so enjoyable.
In short, we really could not fault one aspect of our week and we are all well and truly 'bitten' by the ski bug!
Please pass this email on to the appropriate personnel and offer our sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone. If you wish to use any of these comments for publicity purposes, please feel free to do so. We would recommend King Pine to anyone.
We very much hope that we will be able to return one day, to enjoy another family week on the slopes. In the meantime, we wish you all continued success.
With kindest regards and many thanks,
Sara, Séamus, Méabh, Bríd & Conn McGee (Northern Ireland)
