Laura Lemieux and Craig Niiler have been named by the Hoyt family – owners of King Pine Ski Area, Danforth Bay Camping & RV Resort, Purity Spring Resort and Tohkomeupog Summer Camp for Boys – to their leadership team in the roles of marketing manager and snowsports director respectively. Together, they bring decades of regional experience and deep roots in Mount Washington Valley.
A Familiar Face Returns to the Slopes
Families and skiers signing up for King Pine’s snowsports programs this winter will find a seasoned leader at the helm. Craig Niiler, who previously served as King Pine’s Ski School Director, returns to lead the mountain’s Snowsports program — bringing with him decades of experience and an intimate understanding of what makes King Pine’s approach to teaching special.
A longtime member of the King Pine family, Craig has spent much of his career introducing generations of skiers and riders to the sport. His return signals a strong foundation for the Snowsports program going into the season.
Craig’s involvement in the New Hampshire ski community extends well beyond the mountain. He has served as President of the Eastern Slope Ski Club and as a U.S. Ski and Snowboard Technical Delegate, and he currently sits on the National U.S. Ski and Snowboard Under-14 Working Group. A former PSIA Education Staff member, Craig remains one of the region’s most credentialed and active voicmares in alpine skiing and instructor development.
Craig’s approach to snowsports centers on people: building a welcoming environment, developing skilled instructors and coaches, and giving every guest the confidence and skills to fall in love with the sport from day one.
Marketing Experience Rooted in the Region
Laura Lemieux brings more than a decade of marketing leadership experience in the Mount Washington Valley to her new role as Marketing Manager. Her commitment to the local community runs deep as reflected in her past and present involvement on many nonprofit boards and local initiatives.
Most recently, she served as Marketing Director for OVP Management, Inc., where she oversaw marketing and event operations for Settlers Green and Settlers Crossing, directing their marketing and producing 12 major promotional events per year.
Earlier in her career, she served as Marketing Coordinator at Attitash Mountain Resort and Wildcat Mountain, giving her direct experience in ski resort marketing.
Laura served as Committee Chair of the Red Parka Challenge Cup Race from 2020 to 2025 and as a Committee Member for 15 years prior. Held annually at Attitash, the race directed proceeds to the Eastern Slope Ski Club Junior Program.
She currently serves on the board of Children Unlimited and was a founding board member of both Ride NoCo and Granite Backcountry Alliance.
“I am thrilled to join a local family business that has been a champion of hospitality in New Hampshire for over 100 years,” said Lemieux. “I look forward to bringing the Hoyt Family’s core values to life for our guests while strengthening our deep roots in the local community.”
