Can I Bring My Dog With Me to Purity Spring Resort?

Purity Spring Resort offers a number of dog-friendly accommodations, including select guestrooms at King Pine Lodge and the Island View condos. If you choose to bring your four-legged friends, an additional $25 per night per dog fee will be applied to your reservation (limit 2 dogs/unit). If one of our dog-friendly units is not available, we do not extend our pet policy to other units. Please note that a $250 fine will be charged to guests who bring dogs into non-dog-friendly units and that additional fees may apply if deep cleaning or repairs are required.

We ask that pet owners keep their dogs off all furniture and that dogs who may damage or soil the unit when left alone be crated when they’re not accompanied by their owners. (We do not supply crates, so please bring your own.) Additionally, if your dog is a talker, is not house-trained or displays aggressive behavior, please leave them at home. If your dog is found to be disruptive, aggressive, barking, whining or causing damage, we will ask you to find alternate accommodations for your dog. (We’re happy to suggest a number of local kennels.) Please be aware that any damage caused by your dog will result in a fine of $250, plus additional fees for all repairs.

While your dog is welcome to stay with you in your room, for the safety and comfort of others, we do not allow dogs in certain areas of the resort. Below is a guide to the dog-friendly areas of Purity Spring.

Buildings: Your dog is only allowed in your room and hallways which access your room. Dogs are not allowed in any common areas, including lodging buildings and The Mill’s Main Office area.

Dog Path: We have a designated walking path for you to use with your dog. The path is located off the south corner of the upper King Pine parking lot and continues toward the ball field (summer) or tubing park (winter). The path has waste bags available and a trash receptacle near the parking area. Please be courteous and pick up after your dog.

Leashes: Dogs must be on a leash anytime they are out of your room, including walking to and from your room and on the dog path. If your dog is able to follow voice commands, you may play unleashed at the Milt’s Place Beach. However, please be aware that the town of Madison has a leash ordinance.

Beaches: Dogs are always allowed at Milt’s Place Beach and, on a limited basis, at Sunset Beach too. Dogs are not allowed at Purity Island Beach or King Pine Beach. Please be courteous and do not bring your dog to Sunset Beach when there are a lot of swimmers or during waterskiing program times.

Trails: Purity Spring Resort has beautiful trails for canines of all ages and abilities. Whether you hike up to Bald Ledge or meander on the trails along the east side of Purity Lake, there is something for everyone. Feel free to call the Main Office for recommendations on the trails which best suit your excursion.
