Summer 2020 Operating Plan

June 17, 2020

We are excited to begin a renewed operating environment that presents new opportunities along with some of the obvious challenges. Uniquely located between the Lakes Region and the White Mountains, our 1,300 acre resort property offers a truly spacious environment for exploring, playing and being together with family and friends in a beautiful setting.

Despite some of the current restrictions and necessary changes, we know family vacations at Purity Spring Resort are a tradition for many who return year after year to enjoy the surrounding forests, pristine lake and welcoming community. As we’ve indicated before, “Lake Life as it should be” will look and feel different, but our goal with necessary changes is to still provide you access to Purity Lake and the surrounding property that you have previously enjoyed, while prioritizing health and safety for all.

In accordance with the current state reopening guidelines, we are able welcome all guests back to Purity Spring Resort.  New Hampshire residents will be asked to provide their NH ID/Driver's license. Out-of-state guests will need to sign electronically an affidavit stating their party has self-quarantined (other than essential activities) for 14 days prior to arriving and all guests will be asked questions regarding if they are experiencing any symptoms.

Current events reflect upon changes we have had to make and we know that they also factor into your travel plans. We want you to feel assured that your visit is one you will enjoy. For now, we continue to be flexible with our cancellation period, and we will work with you as any needs arise for keeping, postponing, or cancelling reservations. Please let us help you with making a reservation and providing information prior to your arrival. If your plans do change, keep in mind that deposits can be applied to an opening later in our current season, or refunded.

As part of the effort to maintain safety, we are implementing new ways of checking in with the effort for that to be low touch and minimal contact. We will be sending out registration cards and required documentation to sign electronically via email.

We are committed to and preparing to engage in recommended health monitoring and mitigation standards for you, our employees, vendors, and all who visit our property.  Expect to see additional reminders posted about our shared responsibilities, including the need to maintain 6-foot social distancing, and, when that is not possible, it is recommended you wear face masks or coverings.

Though our Traditions Restaurant & Pub remains closed, we hope that you’ll find your rental unit provides the necessary means to meet your cooking and food preparation needs. For accommodations, we are offering our “self-catering” condo-style units including Brookside, Island View and Mountainside units. These units include a full kitchen with all the essential appliances and dishware. Please note, you will have to bring all necessary food, drinks, coffee/filters, condiments, seasoning, cooking oils and any provisions that you should need for cooking.

This summer, we are also offering Lakeside, Hillside and Fireside cottages for guests to enjoy. Though these rooms do not have kitchens, they do have the usual hotel appliances including a microwave, coffee maker and small refrigerator. We will also be providing outdoor grills and some basic cookware/dishware including small pots, pans, dishes, flatware, etc. at these units for guests to use. As mentioned before however, you will be having to provide all your own provisions.

It is also our hope that our guests this summer may discover new dining options in our region of New Hampshire and the links below provide a number of restaurants and dining establishments in relative close proximity to Purity Spring Resort along with contact information. There are also a number of breweries, distillery and even a meadery that you may enjoy visiting while you are here.

An ice dispensing unit will be available for access in the “Loft” building where our guest laundry machine and dryer is located too. Clean ice containers are provided in your room.

As has always been our goal, our housekeeping team will be working very hard implementing effective and innovative ways to provide clean accommodations upon your arrival. However, daily housekeeping will not be available as this minimizes unnecessary contact during your stay. We are able to arrange for delivering new towels during your stay, as well as trash pickup. In addition to the usual extensive cleaning between stays, we are introducing a new 24-hour extended period between reservations which provides additional time for accommodations to decontaminate.

Guest Accommodations:

  • Limiting the number of staff who are in any accommodation during service

  • Rooms will be supplied (clean sheets and/or towels, etc.) prior to arrival.

  • Staff will wear face coverings and gloves when cleaning all accommodations and public spaces.

  • All mattresses and pillows will have protective encasements that will be sanitized prior to arrival.

Common Spaces:

  • Increased cleaning frequency

  • Hand sanitizing stations

  • Availability of sanitizing solutions so that anyone can sanitize an area before and after use. We ask that you use any sanitizing equipment away from the water and dispose of any trash or used personal protective equipment in a proper waste receptacle.

Our Guest Services and Front Desk team will place a priority on creating a healthy, safe, and informative guest service experience for everyone. To decrease person to person contact, we are working to implement measures for a more “low-touch” experience. During our summer season, the Front Desk will be open 8am-4pm.

Low-Touch Check-in Process:

  • Pre-arrival emails (or phone calls if necessary) during the week before your arrival to verify guest information related to registration cards and documentation requiring electronic signatures.

  • Keys for your use during your stay will be located in lock boxes outside your room. A personalized code for your visit will be changed again once you checkout. We suggest you keep one of the available keys in the lock box during your stay in the event you lock yourself out of your room.

Low-Touch Check-out Process:

  • The bill for your stay will be emailed to you the night before departure.

  • Our front desk staff will be available to answer billing questions by phone (8 a.m.-4 p.m.) or email.

  • Welcome and pre-arrival information will be emailed to all guests before check-in and our website is always a good source for general information as well as current summer operating plans.

  • Any activity and other special messages will be posted on the Purity Spring Resort Facebook, Twitter or Instagram feed or via Purity Spring Resort email newsletters. You may register as many email addresses as you like at so everyone can receive this information.

Retail Store:

The Blue Heron Gift Shop is not currently open to the public at this time, but you are welcome to call the Front Desk between 8 a.m.-4 p.m. to ask for available items and we are also working to make our more popular logo’d items available for purchase on-line.

Fires & Firewood:

Fires are permitted in designated fireplaces (firepits). Do not relocate fireplaces. Per local authorities, we can not allow for any abuse of these regulations, as our fire permit is contingent on adhering to them. Fires must never be left unattended, should be kept small with flames reaching no higher than 24” above the rim and must be extinguished with water by 11:30 p.m. No fires before 7 a.m. Do not place trash, bottles or cans in fire rings and do not burn any treated or painted wood. It is illegal to transport firewood across state lines. Firewood can be ordered through the main office. It will be delivered to your unit each morning, so please plan ahead. There are approximately 6 pieces of wood per bundle, and we are selling this for $5.95 each.

Purity Spring Resort is the perfect location for these times; our walking trails, tennis courts, canoes, kayaks, SUPS and beaches provide plenty of outdoor recreational opportunities while maintaining a safe distance from others.

All recreational and outdoor furniture equipment will be spaced out to accommodate safe and effective use as well as physical distancing. Self-serve sanitizing products are located throughout the resort and available for you to clean any equipment prior to and following use of and we ask that you be considerate of others when doing so. We also ask that you use any sanitizing equipment away from the water and dispose of any trash or used personal protective equipment in a proper waste receptacle.

The Mill Pool & Fitness Center is currently closed and will remain closed indefinitely.
